Race Across America Starting June 20th

Earlier in the year a friend of mine asked me if I would like to join his team ViaSat for the race across America. The event this year covers 3,000 miles starting from Oceanside California to Annapolis Maryland. Of course I agreed with ample enthusiasm. With the race now only 2 weeks away what "seemed like a good idea at the time" has settled to a lot of head scratching and left me vaguely perplexed. For better or worse I think I am as ready as one gets.

Preparation and training has occupied a lot of time. Given a full work schedule a large amount of time has had to be indoor training. Needless to say there have been a lot of changes around the house. Including:

 Getting in a few after hours computing time

Working through dinner

 and Napping between workouts
